Friday 15th December 2023 at the Chambers of The Buea Council, Councilors and the management, sat in for the Second Ordinary Session, meat to examine and adopt the 2024 budget of the Buea Municipality in the presence of the Sinor Divisional Officer for Fako, supervisory authority represented by the First Assistant Mr. Awa Din, Senator Mballa Moki Charles, Hon. Malomba, traditional rulers, and other dignitaries.
The envisage 2024 budget is a reflection of the 3rd edition of the Town Hall meeting, held on the 31st of October 2023, with a cross section of over 300 stakeholders of the municipality who brainstormed and deliberated on issues pertaining to the city. This budgetary session came in line with Section 374(4) of the General Code of Regional and Local Authorities, of which the 2nd edition of the Budget Orientated Debate (BOD) Session otherwise known as the Budget Police Debate Session.
However, the period under review is one plagued with series of challenges which hindered the council from achieving the previous objectives as collection stood at 1.891.939.856 CFA as to 2.900.000.000 CFA giving a realization rate of 65.24%. Considering the ambitions and aspirations of the people of Buea Municipality despite the current social atmosphere the 2024 Budget stands at the turn of 2.900.000.000 CFA with a 0% increase.
Mayor David Mafani Namange Esq. promised that, the management of Buea council is going to bring the collaboration of other stakeholders as to make sure that this mission is achieved.

Elle s’étend sur environ 58 km² le long de l’océan Atlantique. Sa population, estimée à environ 16 400 habitants lors du recensement de 2005, est projetée à plus de 28 000 habitants en 2025.
