The Lord Mayor of the Buea Municipality, DAVID MAFANI NAMANGE Esq, on the 29th of August 2023, received in audience Miss Jessie Castello, Senior Program Officer of the Global Centre for Pluralism (GCP) based in Ottawa Canada and the CEO of Reach Out Cameroon, Madam NJOMO OMAM Esther.
The audience was within the frame work of the Global Centre for Pluralism’s awards to Civil Society Organizations working to promote values, practices and policies which underpin diverse inclusive and pluralist communities for which Reach Out Cameroon was preselected as an awardee.
In his opening remark, the Lord Mayor welcomed, the Representative of the Global Centre For pluralism and her team who were visiting Buea, the City of Legendary hospitality for the very first time and further thanked their institution for bestoring confidence on a renown denizen of the Buea Municipality, Madame OMAM Esther, CEO of Reach Out Cameroon whose activities has left a positive mark in Cameroon and abroad.
On her part, the Representative of the GCP gave a rundown of their mission and then thanked the Mayor for the warm reception and looked forward to future partnership between the Buea Municipality and Global Centre for Pluralism (GCP). The audience rounded off with an exchange of gifts and the signing of the Visitors Book by the Senior official of GCP.
La commune de Limbé 2 (ou Limbé II) est une commune d’arrondissement située dans le département du Fako, au sein de la région du Sud-Ouest du Cameroun.
Créée par décret présidentiel en 2007, elle a pour chef-lieu le quartier de Mokundange (ou Mukudangé).
Elle s’étend sur environ 58 km² le long de l’océan Atlantique. Sa population, estimée à environ 16 400 habitants lors du recensement de 2005, est projetée à plus de 28 000 habitants en 2025.
