The municipality of Buea, the City of Legendary Hospitality, head quarter of the South West Region, today Friday 1st of March 2024 was honored with the visit of the European Union delegation to the Republic of Cameroon and for Equatorial Guinea. The mission was headed by H.E Jean Marc Chataigner, H.E Dr Corinna Fricke, German Ambassador, H.E Eric Jacquemin, Belgian Ambassador, and H.E Filippo Scammacca Del Murgo, Italian Ambassador as well as other diplomatic officials from Europe. The delegation had a brief stop at the Governor’s Office, where H.E Bernard Okalia B. presented to them a synopsis of the state of relations between the European Union and Cameroon in general, with some emphasis and expectations from these particular five countries for the South West Region.
In the same vain the delegation had a working session with the University of Buea.
The day was round-off with a lunch where some stakeholders of the Region, in the like of The Director of National School of Local Administration (NASLA), the Independent Conciliator for the South West Region, the head of the commission of education and sport for the South West at the Regional house, and Barrister David Mafani Namange Mayor of the Buea Council, who had to use the opportunity to exchange opinions.
The delegation left with souvenirs items offered to them by the landlord of the City of Legendary Hospitality, in remembrance of the historic cosmopolitan city.
La commune de Limbé 2 (ou Limbé II) est une commune d’arrondissement située dans le département du Fako, au sein de la région du Sud-Ouest du Cameroun.
Créée par décret présidentiel en 2007, elle a pour chef-lieu le quartier de Mokundange (ou Mukudangé).
Elle s’étend sur environ 58 km² le long de l’océan Atlantique. Sa population, estimée à environ 16 400 habitants lors du recensement de 2005, est projetée à plus de 28 000 habitants en 2025.
