Giz Supports the Buea Council with Some Borehole Maintenance Equipment

Today Friday 26th August 2022, within the framework of the partnership agreement between the Buea Council and the GIZ (German Development Cooperation support program for the Municipal Development PROMUD II). The Lord Mayor of the Buea Council David Mafani Namange Esq received some equipment and toolbox from Madam Ines NSAME MBONGO the Adviser Citizen Participation Littoral – South West Antenna for GIZ. This gesture is in conformity with the ongoing Citizen Participation for Local Development program initiated by the German body in Cameroon, as to bring youths and women in the participatory development skill. This equipment will serve for the maintenance of boreholes within the municipality, by persons trained under the said program.

Receiving this equipment the Landlord of Buea use the opportunity to thank GIZ for the gesture and promised the good use of the gift, that it will serve the purpose for which it was met for. In his appreciation he said the Municipality is open for the ever collaboration with GIZ to foster development.
