H.E Richard Le Bars, the new political counsellor at the High Commission of Canada in Cameroon visited the Buea council on a courtesy visit. During his stay, various issues were discussed: all geared on how to strengthen the bilateral relations between Canadian cities and the Buea Municipality in Cameroon. H.E Le Bars in his discussion with the lord Mayor of Buea DAVID MAFANI NAMANGE Esq expressed interest in learning about the challenges and initiatives of local governance, discussing potential support or partnerships in these areas. He also indicated Canada High Commission’s commitment in working with local organizations through a subvention program meant for local development (call for proposal for local initiatives). However interested organizations are called to check out the Facebook account of the Canadian High Commission in Cameroon.
This visit marks an important moment for establishing stronger diplomatic ties at the local level and exploring mutual areas of interest between the Canadian high commission and the Buea Council.
La commune de Limbé 2 (ou Limbé II) est une commune d’arrondissement située dans le département du Fako, au sein de la région du Sud-Ouest du Cameroun.
Créée par décret présidentiel en 2007, elle a pour chef-lieu le quartier de Mokundange (ou Mukudangé).
Elle s’étend sur environ 58 km² le long de l’océan Atlantique. Sa population, estimée à environ 16 400 habitants lors du recensement de 2005, est projetée à plus de 28 000 habitants en 2025.
